Wei Bao Shan, Mt. Towering Treasure, is located 70 km southwest of Dali.  It is a Daoist enclave with 20 temples spread throughout the forested hills.  Points of interest include the Dragon Pond Temple, the Twin Crane Temple, the Jade Emperor Pavilion, the Old Man Temple, the Daoyuan Palace and the Hidden Spring Cave.  Set amidst pine forests and overlooking the Guajiang River, the Wei Bao mountain area is an excellent place to train in the Daoist arts of tai ji quan and qi gong and to learn as resident monks guide you through the ancient grottoes, temples and Daoist pavilions.  Our visit to Wei Bao Shan includes spending a night in a Daoist temple or nearby lodging, learning the mountain's Daoist history from a resident monk and training in traditional Daoist sciences.  Wei Bao Shan is the perfect sojourn away from the popular destination sites and the tourist masses.  You can choose to stay in one of the temples to be awoken by bells and signing or lodge in a well kempt hotel.  If you would like to stay for an extended period of time to train with Mr. Xiao please feel free to contact us at info@yehs.org.
