Study TCM & Oriental Medicine In One of China's Best Clinics

From the Barefoot doctor to modern traditional remedies, the use of traditional Chinese medicine has become an accepted healing modality in most parts of the world.  Yunnan Educational and Health Services (YEHS) study abroad programs offer students a unique opportunity to study oriental medicine, traditional diagnosis, ancient and modern needling techniques, tuina massage, herbal prescription writing and dispensing, traditional medical diet therapy, tai ji quan and other traditional therapies, as well as cultural exchange, village home stays and minority studies.  Hospital clinical and hands-on herb identifying, harvesting and processing in the country side make the Chinese medicine programs an in-depth holistic oriental medicine practical experience.  The various clinical settings combined with a wide array of specialized doctors provides for a completely unique learning experience.   Programs are based in  Kunming and China's Yunnan Province and run in conjunction with the First Affiliated Clinic of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  These program provides an introduction to ancient oriental philosophy, theory, practices and history in traditional Chinese medicine, tai ji quan and other Taoist internal arts.  To facilitate their health-related academic work, students can undertake the study of Mandarin language and Chinese culture.  Follow this link, Classical Chinese Studies, to get a better idea of classes offered during your study abroad program.
